The SDGs: Action starts with learning in the United Arab Emirates
28 June 2022
As different UN agencies, Ministers of Education, policy and business leaders and youth activists come together today at the UNESCO-led Transforming Education Pre-Summit in Paris, a key opportunity to accelerate progress towards SDG4- inclusive and equitable education for all, we look back at another important moment for young people and the Sustainable Development Goals: The 2020 Dubai World Expo.
The UN Country Team in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) explores the different ways UN agencies, including UNESCO and UNICEF helped children engage in and learn about the SDGs during the 6-month Expo. Through a series of workshops and installations, children visiting the UN Hub in Dubai were encouraged to express their voices, share ideas and learn more about their role in implementing each of the 17 SDGs.
This video originally featured in a story published by the UN Country Team in the UAE and was adapted for the UNSDG site by the UN Development Coordination Office. You can learn more about the work the UN is doing in the UAE by visiting: UnitedArabEmirates.UN.org.
