The General Assembly Resolution 72/279 (2018) repositioned the UN development system and elevated the former UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), now renamed as “the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework” (UNSDCF) as the most important instrument for planning and implementation of the UN development activities in each country. The Cooperation Framework outlines how the UN will support countries achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is prepared and finalised in full consultation and agreement with Government, and a broad range of stakeholders, including civil society organizations, youth, donors, academia, private sector and development partners. Once signed, Cooperation Frameworks will be implemented through the country programme instruments of the United Nations development system entities, which are derived from the Cooperation Framework.

In coordination with the Executive Board Secretariats, this dedicated page provides the latest available Cooperation Framework documents (agreed with the respective national government) for Executive Board members information.
