This Practice Note supports the implementation of the ICT-Digital Accessibility Common Services for UNCTs to lead by example and encourage transformation and the birth of a new inclusive reality that equalizes social and economic opportunities.
The Common Services outlines three areas where ICT/Digital accessibility must be taken into account by UNCTs:
Mainstream software used in the day-to-day office work, including video conference platforms to ensure they are accessible and have embedded accessibility features
Content created or procured in digital formats and published on the country website by the UNCT must be accessible
Countries' websites are developed or procured by the UNCT to be accessible and comply with the WCAG 2.1 for an AA compliance level
